As part of the good work plan, the Government consulted on proposals to support families, looking at proposals for a new leave and pay entitlement for parents of babies that require neonatal care after birth. This consultation explored the design of potential new statutory rights to neonatal leave and pay, the associated practical considerations and the implications for employers and employees.
