Two options to upgrade your membership

1. Upgrading Assessment

Ideal for: Chartered members, and Associate members who hold a CIPD Advanced Diploma or an accredited postgraduate/masters degree from a CIPD recognised university.

Process: Completing the relevant upgrading assessment.

Length: Less than a month.

2. Experience Assessment

Ideal for: Foundation Members, and Associate Members who do not hold a CIPD Advanced Diploma.

Process: Completing a series of online assessments and a professional discussion with an experienced assessor. 

Length: Approximately four months.

If you’re a current Student Member, we’ll automatically upgrade your membership once you finish your studies. You’ll be awarded either foundation or associate member grade, depending on your qualification.
